7-8 years Experience
I grew up in Mexico among artists, spiritual seekers and was raised by a mayan woman. My mother and grandmother have been a huge influence to me. They both lived difficult times when I was a small girl, and saw they didn’t give up, always followed their dreams, and were out of a comfort zone. That’s the best heritage any girl can get from her parents, the seed of seeking for the one’s deepest truths.
I was studying at the Professional Dance School in Mexico, when I found the yoga practice, I started with power Vinyasa Yoga, since that I always had my daily yoga sacred time. In 2009 as a new circus student in Denmark, my classmates asked me to teach them yoga, then I started teaching, by being very honest telling “I don’t know if this is yoga, but I can share with you what I know of the body and the kindness yoga has taught me”. Later in 2011 completed a 150 hour teachers training with Eyleen Rogers.
Vipassana meditation is one of the practices that also changed my life since 2008.
My mom’s words always present: “God talks to you through your feelings, do what you love, when you are happy doing something that’s what God wants you to do”. So in January, 2012 together with a friend I founded Centro Luz Yoga, a yoga studio in my hometown, since then I dedicate my life fully to yoga and the community.
I finished my 200RYT as a student of Rachel Scott, Anila Lacroix and Janet Corvino; and a Restorative TT taught by Tianne Allan. Currently I am home based in Vancouver BC, have offered Retreats at Hollyhock, and practicing Dharma Yoga every day.
